Introduction
Welcome to P-Rater. By using our website/app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users of the service.

User Registration and Account
To use our rating system and other features, users must register an account. During registration, users will create a username, which will be visible to other users on the site. Email addresses will remain private. Your first and last names will be visible to other users who added you as a friend.
Note: any user can add any other user as a friend.
Also, any user on the site can see other users' ratings and win-loss records. If you add someone as a friend, you can see your record of playing with and against them.
In the future, we plan to add an Date of Birth field. Current users will be able to add their age via an account settings page. Your age will NOT be only visible by default. You can choose to make it visible by updating your settings.

Content and Usage Guidelines
Users are expected to interact with our website in a respectful and lawful manner. Any form of abusive behavior, spamming, or violation of our guidelines may result in account suspension or termination.

Intellectual Property
All content and the rating system on this website are the property of P-Rater and Reality Web Services. Unauthorized use of any content or the system is prohibited.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
P-Rater provides a pickleball rating system as a service to the users. We are not liable for any inaccuracies or discrepancies in the ratings.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of any changes through our website.

Privacy Statement

Introduction
At P-Rater, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This statement outlines our data collection, use, and protection practices.

We collect usernames, email addresses, and the names of our users (in the future we intend to add Date of Birth). This information is used solely for the operation of our rating system. Emails are kept private, and the visibility of names is only visible if someone adds you as a friend. The visibility of your Date of Birth is controlled by you, the user.
As stated in the Terms above, Any user on the site can see other users' usernames, ratings, and win-loss records. If you add someone as a friend, you can see your record of playing with and against them.

Data Security
User passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text. We use a secure MySQL server for storing user information. We implement various security measures to protect your personal information.

User Control Over Information
In the future, users will be able to control the visibility of some of their personal information through their account settings. We will notify users via a website notification when this feature becomes available. Currently, you can request to review, update, or delete your personal information by contacting us here.

Changes to Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new policy on our website.

We do NOT use any Javascript Cookies.

PHP session
We do use PHP sessions. The only item we store in the session is your user ID. Your user ID is a number we generate when you register an account. we use it to identify your information in our database.
